My Favorite Summer Hats
SUMMER IS HERE!
Hi, yes, it’s me… sneaking in my “June” blog on June 30th…. WHOOPS.
Anyone else feeling like this has been the strangest start to summer ever? Like, is it even happening?
Well according to my thermostat it is. I don’t know why I’m always so surprised by Sacramento heat. Once summer hits, it HITS. lol. But I’m excited it’s here nonetheless.
I am ready for pool days and outdoor activities …. and short sleeves, cute swim suits, sun hats, flowy dresses, short shorts, sandals, and allll the summer styles. My favorite summer accessory is for sure this summer is hats of any kind. In the past few years I’ve become increasingly attached to wide brim hats and fedoras, especially in the summer, so to me they are sort of a “summer closet” staple. This year I am becoming a huge fan of wearing Dad Hats.
Hats weren’t an accessory I always felt comfortable wearing, but once I realized how easily they pulled together and outfit and learned how to style them, I couldn’t stop!

Look One: Dad Hat styled three ways. Dad hats are the best when you’re in a hurry, need to add a sporty vibe to your look, or need to keep the sun out of your face (I mean, I guess that’s what hats really are for, but you and I both know we’re here for the fashion okay?) This amazon find was a total winner.
CONFESSION TIME: I found myself buying another pair of these leggings while linking for you. Sometimes, I even get myself. These are too good though, and they come in such specific sized it is awesome. Wearing a M Short here. The fabric is so soft and so thin, but isn’t see through at all and stays in place all day.
Also, yes. The striped top is a PJ top. It is so soft and so comfortable… and you never would have known if I hadn’t told you, huh?
Style 2: Straw Fedora
Best for pool days, lake days, or anything outdoors. The coolest hat (and I’m not just talking about looks now) to wear during a hot summer day. I think I probably reach for this one the most.

Style 3: Felt Fedora/Wide Brim Fedora
The hottest of the bunch. (Looks, and feel. You will be sweating… but you will look so cute whilst doing it.)
But the best option for dressing up wet or day old hair. No one will notice how dirty your hair is because your hair is so cute. I couldn’t pick one favorite when it came to this type of hat. Here’s my top two:
CONFESSION (again)… This hat is from Vici Dolls and is the cutest sassiest hat on my hall tree. BUT it is completely sold out. Here’s one that looks like it MIGHT be similar. I can’t vouch for it.
