Independence Day - The Target Way

Red, White, and CUTE.

Firework stands are up, the sun is hot, your fridge is stocked up for a BBQ, and everyone’s got their American flags up... this can only mean one thing…. it’s almost the 4th of July!

I’ve always loved this holiday because it has traditionally been one of the most fun to celebrate in my family. I’m not an overly patriotic person for many reasons, but I still do have pride for my country, and enjoy getting festive - no matter the occasion. I own absolutely nothing Americana style and have never been a huge purchaser of star spangled outfits in the past, so I totally surprised myself this year by getting in the spirit. What can I say? Target got me again.

I am excited to celebrate!

I am head to toe in Target, pictured above. Even the porch is donning Target apparel. When I walked into my local store last week I was blown away by just how much they had and how cute everything was! Sometimes patriotic themed clothes or decorations can be super corny, which I assume is why I usually am not into it, but this year I actually really liked the items they had for sale. So much so, I bought all of this. LOL.

The best part? Majority of items were on sale or came from the dollar section of all places!! So no biggie if you go crazy while you’re there… right? (That’s what I tell myself at least. All the memes are true. 10% of my Target reciept are things I went in for &/or I don’t actually know what I need, Target tells me)

In the dollar section alone they have American flags of all sorts, USA beach balls that are actually full size (!), string lights, scarves, cute sunglasses, table settings, plates, pillows, pinwheels, and so much more. The string lights (both blue and the stars) as well as the beach ball were only $3 each. American flags and sunnies were only $1 a piece.

No need for expensive decorations or accessories this year.

Check their clothing section for a whole table FULL of Americana themed graphic tees, patriotic printed scarves and wraps, star print rompers (which I really had to hold myself back from buying as well….), american flag collared shirts, pajamas, and even an American Flag onezie for cryin’ out loud (sold in Mens AND womens). They have literally everything, for everyone in the whole family.

My ‘U.S.A Good Vibes” cropped tee was only $14.99 and is soo soft and comfortable. It is a really light weight fabric that will be perfect for a hot summer day by the pool. It has a great over-sized fit that makes it easy to tie up for definition at your waist. I’m wearing a medium.

My jeans are Universal Thread high-rise crop skinnies, and I am obsessed with how forgiving they are! They are super stretchy but hold enough form to help shape your middle. They are almost full length on me but hit more above the ankle, so heads up to all of you taller ladies, they will probably fit you like a true crop length.

My sandals are the second pair that I have of the Jenny Slide Sandals from Target because they are that comfortable and good looking. The first pair were given to me as a gift and I am so thankful for my girl showing me these. Go get your two pairs while they are still buy 1 get 1 50%.
